A Little Challenge From My Friends - Again

Last January, or was it February, I posted a reading challenge from my friend Jane's blog. At first when I started typing this, I thought I had read only 1 or two of the challenge books. Well, sort of. I only read one in my list of 10. But I read three of the alternates - which is better than I thought I did.

And then, while I had the books in a pile and tried to read them... didn't read most of them. It was a VERY busy year. And then we moved, and I don't know where they are like I did.

The year before, or was it two, I posted an astonishingly long list of books to read (knowing I would not read them all in a year).

I'd love to do Jane's Challenge again this year. No, not again. I'd like to actually do it... last year I only wrote it down, and while I read four, I didn't read enough.

The problem is I read so many OTHER books. Mostly fluff and twaddle.

So, I think I'll post the rest of my list from last year since I didn't finish and see if I can manage that.

The way the challenge is supposed to go is that you get book suggestions from friends.
Post 5-10 of them with alternates if you like and then read the books.
It's good to record when you finish them too.
If there's anyone actually reading this besides me... and you want to do the challenge... post in comments! ;)

1 - The Lady and the Unicorns by Tracy Chevalier
2 - Kristin Lavransdatter  by Sigrid Undset
3 - Sanctification: Christ in action by Howard Senkbeil
4 -  Middlemarch by George Eliot
5 - The Vinland Sagas: The Norse Discovery of America
6 - The Defense Never Rests: A Lawyer's quest for the gospel by Craig Parton
7 - In A Dark Wood Wandering: A Novel of the Middle Ages by Hella H. Haasse
8 - The History of the Ancient World by Susan Wise Bauer
9 - Redwall by Brian Jacques
10 - The Red Tent by Anita Diamant

Alternates
1 - Emily of New Moon by L.M. Montgomery
2 - A Primer of Probability Logic by Ernest W. Adams

If you actually look at this list, you'll notice that I have some strange friends. Very strange. What's funny, is if I get in the right mood, I might actually read the Primer of Probability Logic. Yeah, or not.
